- The Order of the Phoenix Alliance and Countess Reapera invite every Guild Wars player in the known universe to their Soiree at the Sanctum, a huge autumn bash in the Imperial Sanctum International Districts. This party, which celebrates autumn and the anniversary of the Phoenix Alliance’s founding, begins on November 14th at 6PM EST! The Countess and the Alliance are serving free refreshments and are hosting costume contests, scavenger hunts, and other tests of wit and ability throughout the evening! Join them for the Soiree at the Sanctum!
- On this month’s live Ascension Show, DJ Lonesamurai will lead a discussion on the brand new Codex Arena! Request tunes! Discuss Guild Wars! Listen to music! The show airs on Sanitarium.fm on October 29 from 9:00pm—midnight GMT (5:00pm—8:00 pm EDT)!
- Healbot Blues has an extra special update just in time for Halloween, featuring a new comic and Healbot’s reaction to the Guild Wars 2 trailer!
- InfestedHydralisk is hosting the Commander’s Challenge! Create a compelling video that tells the story of your Guild Wars character! The Commander values interesting stories over fancy special effects, so all you creative types, this is the contest for you! You have until November 29 to submit your video! - Plan to attend Nights of the Mini Pets, an October event sponsored by Blade Radio! Starting on October 29, join Blade Radio personalities and listeners in Lion’s Arch International District 1-3 as they play great music and give away more than 1,000 mini pets! Special guests will join Blade Radio on-air for tunes and discussion! Nights of the Mini Pets will last for four fabulous days (or nights)—be sure to show up!
- Don’t forget about the King and Queen’s Horrorween! - Earlier this month, Photics.com announced the release of an epic new Guild Wars fan fiction tale on the Android platform. Now the ”Guild Wars: High Ground” fan fiction story is available on the iPod Touch and iPhone! You select skills to progress this interactive story, which features appearances by popular Guild Wars characters, vividly described battles, high drama, and an internet meme! - Photics offers two great creative features this month. ”Guild Wars: High Ground” is a work of fan fiction that is now available online and for Android phones! In this interactive tale you choose skills to progress the epic story, which features cameo appearances by popular Guild Wars characters, vividly described battles, drama, and an internet meme! - Issue #35 of the Photics e-zine is jam-packed with Guild Wars goodness, including fan art, poetry, and opinion pieces. This issue contains “The Moa,” a parody of Edgar Allen Poe’s “The Raven” that talks about the wait for Guild Wars 2. - Photics.com will launch their brand new Guild Wars Fansite e-magazine soon, and are now accepting submissions for their Autumnal Equinox Edition. Are you an artist? - Order of the Phoenix Alliance invites you to “An Evening Under the Stars”! They’ll be hosting an open invite festival on Saturday, August 22nd to celebrate recent changes to the Alliance, the end of summer, and just for fun. The festival features a scavenger hunt, costume contest, in-game refreshments, fabulous prizes, and more! Everyone is invited, so why not join them?
- The good people over at The Guild Hall will unveil a massive renovation to their site on July 30. The TGH main page and forum will get a full makeover and will be shinier than ever. Plus, they’re adding tons of new content ranging from full length articles to mini-columns. TGH will host an in-game celebration at The Great Temple of Balthazar, ID1 on July 30th from 9:00 PM to 3:00 AM GMT, 4:00 - 10:00 PM EST. - Speaking of The Guild Hall, The Sanitarium.FM’s Ascension Show will host the TGH staff for a special show discussing all things Guild Wars and TGH. Tune in to the Ascension Show on July 30!
- DJ Bacon of Blade Radio is celebrating his one-year anniversary of giving back to the community! On July 12 at 1:00 PM PDT, DJ Bacon will start giving out over 200k in in-game gold, greens, Ectos, and more! It’s six full hours of fun with Blade Radio and DJ Bacon, and everyone is invited! - Celebrate Wintersday in July with Blade Radio! They’re pulling out all the stops to help deliver a big dose of wintery cheer a few months early! - Veritas Invictus [TRUE] will celebrate its 4th birthday on July 31st! They’ll be partying for the entire second half of July, with daily events both in-game and on the forums! - Guild-Wars.info has been busy lately. They’ve added a new feature called My Characters, which is a tool for you to organize and display your characters in a whole new way. Check it out!
- The Webmaster of Guild-Wars.info, Kronos1980, has written a series of articles about the history of Guild Wars. If you read German, you’ll find Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow a very cool read!
- Italian fansite Trip4Tyria is hosting a Guild Wars Dragon Hunt Screenshot Contest! Prizes total 200k in in-game gold! The contest ends on July 11, so start taking those screenshots of dragons!
- Congratulations to GuildWarsWiki.de! They are now a Specialty Fansite. Keep up the good work, guys!
- Kumori Inu, AKA Sabre Wolf, is back with another detailed play-by-play rundown of the May 2009 mAT Final! The video features more improvements to the intro sequence and an extended pre-game show. Watch the video and participate in the discussion over at the Guild Wars Guru thread!
- The live Ascension Show on Sanitarium.fm radio will be on the air June 11 from 9:00 pm—12:00 am GMT, featuring a mix of on-air game discussion and music. Chat in the IRC channel, submit your favorite tunes to be played on the air by host DJ Lonesamurai, and enjoy the show!
