- Kumori Inu posted another awesome play-by-play video commentary of the April Monthly GvG final between Straight Outta Kamadan [KMD] and History Repeats Itself [cry]. He’s added a great pre-game show to the video as well, so check out and discuss the two-parter via the thread on Guild Wars Guru.
- The Defenders of the North [EYE] Alliance and Sanitarium.FM want you to stretch your creativity to the limit in the Mortbane 1079 AE contest, hosted by Grim Mortbane [EYE]! Currently in session is the Short Story contest, with the top three winners receiving 100k, 75k, and 50k in in-game gold! The Sketch contest starts in June, after the winning stories are announced, so artists, get cracking! The top three artists will also win the same amount of in-game gold as the winners of the writing contest. For full details on how you can participate, head over to the event website!
- In celebration of Greek Mythology, Blade Radio is hosting a Toga Party! Wear your best toga attire and join them in-game in Chabek Village, American District 1 from 5:00 PM GMT on May 17 through 5:00AM GMT on May 18!

- To properly celebrate the 4th Anniversary of Guild Wars, Sanitarium.FM is hosting a special edition of The Ascension Show, featuring guest DJ sets by our very own Regina Buenaobra and Martin Kerstein. There will also be a Q&A session with Linsey Murdock. You will find further information about this event on the Sanitarium.FM forum and on their Facebook event page.

- LaZy Nation is again celebrating the Cinco de Mayo Event. The festivities will take place on May 2nd in Vlox’s Falls, running from 4:00 PM EDT(20:00 GMT) till 6:00 PM EDT (22:00 GMT). Bring your sombrero and some dwarven ale and join the party!
- You have probably seen some of the amazing videos created by our players. Now the Guild Wars Video Makers Group, headed by oggycheese, has collaborated to create a video that received a couple of YouTube honors. See for yourself—and keep up the good work, guys!

- MantleCon is back! Formerly known as the Mursaat Rally, this event invites players to show their support for the Unseen Ones. The theme for MantleCon this year is to seek knowledge of the Seers, the ancient enemy of the Mursaat. Join the event organizers: Gmr Leon, Konig Des Todes, Daniel Frozenwind, and The Archivists Sanctum [Lore] for speeches, lore discussion, costume contests, trivia quizzes, and more! - Guild-Wars.info has published a new guide for Glint’s Challenge.
- The Guild-Wars.info auction site has rolled out a new price list feature to make trading even easier. Check it out right here.
- The French Elite Fansite Luna Atra has released a new version of their Skills module. This is a valuable information and research tool which players can use to search, sort, and view all the skills in the game, including details on how and where to capture Elite skills.

Fansite Update
- Mondes Persistants has revamped their website for the third time and is celebrating by running three contests. Submit your screenshots, artwork, and stories to win in-game items, your character drawn by an artist, and a special forum title. For more details about these contests, please go to Mondes Persistants.
- GWShop, now has listings in English in addition to French. Each language has its own separate database, so each user can post items in French or English independently.
Congratulations to Serbian language fan site, GW Adria, German language fansite, Guild Wars Fan Buendnisseite.de, and English language fansite, GW Auctions – they have been recognized as Listed Fansites and added to the Guild Wars Fansite roster!

- The [Rain] Alliance and Blade Radio are hosting a Guild Wars Halloween Video Competition. Prizes for the top three videos total over 300k in in-game gold, weapons, Globs of Ectoplasm, and Tomes. - The Photics folding@home team, which is made up of mostly Guild Wars players, is nearing the 3,000 mark. The team is in the top 2.2% of all folding teams. The folding@home team number is 60254. - Guild Wars Vault has published a guide to the Mehtani Keys for players who are finding themselves a little short on coin.

- Blade Radio is hosting two events this October. The first is an interview with Yt Cracker on October 4. They will also be hosting Nights of the Minipets from October 30 to November 1, during which they will give away over 300+ Miniatures. - The LaZy Nation Alliance will host their Oktoberfest 2008 event on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 4:00 PM EST. During the Wintersday in July weekend, Daniel Frozenwind and Blade Radio are holding “Winterfest: The Battle” on July 19 and 20. During the event, you can support your favorite deity, Grenth or Dwayna, for a variety of in-game prizes to be awarded by Daniel Frozenwind. A member of the Presearing Community, Silhouette Eyes, is hosting the “Survivor: Pre-Searing” competition. This is your chance to outwit, outplay, and outlast the rest. Get placed on a tribe, compete in weekly photo challenges, win weekly prizes, plus have a shot at winning the grand prize and the title of Soul Survivor! The competition promises jaw-dropping twists and shocking surprises to keep you on your toes the entire time. Applications are open from June 24 to August 5. Guild Wars Vault has recently published an editorial comparing Guild Wars to subscription-based MMOGs.
The Photics.com Guild Wars Video Guides for the Nightfall Bonus missions (1-15) are now available at a higher resolution. Previously, they were 320 x 240. Now they’re 640 x 480 - that’s double the size! To view them, head over to Photics.com.
Scions of Loki is a group journal which uses the setting of the Guild Wars campaigns and chronicles the adventures of the House Scarabae, a family of Necromancers.
