  • Crossing Tyria and The Highland Wolves [PACK] will be having a Halloween bash on October 29 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM EDT in Ascalon City International District 1. Your hosts have a ton of fun games, activites, and prizes planned, so be sure to visit their event page for all the details!
  • Blade Radio is hosting what might be the last Night of the Minipets event on October 29 – 31 in Lion’s Arch International Districts 1 – 3. They’re giving away over 1000 minipets as well as other in-game prizes to their party guests, so don’t miss it! Check their event page for more information!

  • The Gaming World Entertainment Network (GWEN) and Gamers Giving Back are hosting their annual Pink Day in LA event on October 15 from 12:00 - 6:00 PM (CDT). Pink Day in LA is an in-game charity event in Guild Wars created to support the Canadian Cancer Society’s research for a cure for breast cancer. Listen to the stream on GWEN Radio and check out the Pink Day in LA in-game events in Guild Wars! There are TONS of incredible prizes that you can win by participating and donating to this worthy cause! Last year, Guild Wars players raised an incredible $11,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society! This year, the goal is to raise $13,370 for the Canadian Cancer Society, and with your help, Pink Day in LA can meet it!     • Snapshot Henchman is an incredible gallery of screenshots taken in various locales in Guild Wars.
      With nearly 6200 images, it’s a comprehensive series of galleries depicting locations in Tyria, Cantha, and Elona.
      Annarti painstakingly gathered these images for over two years, and now the Snapshot Henchman project is complete.

    • Having trouble collecting Nicholas the Traveler gifts each week? Trey has created tutorials on YouTube as a way to
      help his fellow players, particularly those newer players who may not know the best spots to collect trophies.
      Along with in-game footage, each video has a webcam feed of Trey explaining where the prime hunting spots are, how
      to get there, and what to look for. The YouTube Channel is updated every Monday, so go check it out!
    • The Year of the Rabbit is upon us! Gaming World Entertainment Network, Crossing Tyria, and GuildMag, [TIG] Alliance,
      [DRGN] Alliance, [SPG] Alliance, and [ANKH] Alliance bring you “Getting Lucky 2011!” Join them in Chabek Village Traditional

      • English-language Elite Fansite Guild Wars Guru is holding their yearly Winter Art Workshop, where community members are invited to share and improve their artistic creations through constructive feedback and discourse. Participants in the discussion can win some great community-contributed prizes, so go join the conversation today!

      • VirtuGuild needs your help with their research project. The purpose of forming this virtual guild is to study whether social skills like leadership and teamwork can be learned using online games like Guild Wars.       • Gaming World Entertainment Network is holding a 12 Days of Wintersday singing competition! Join them from December 20 – December 31 in Lion’s Arch International District 1 for all the events related to 12 Days of Wintersday!       • The Lady Patrisha MacFarlane of House Caribdus, Callisean Ambassador to Kryta, will again reprise her role as The Winter Lady, traveling the nations of Tyria on a gift-giving tour of goodwill. During this five-day event Lady Patrisha will give away many gifts of value to the citizens of Ascalon, Kryta, Cantha, and Elona, starting in Ascalon City, American District 1. This is Lady Patrisha’s sixth Wintersday season in the service of Dwayna as her Winter Lady and she is hoping many citizens will attend to help her spread the season’s good will.       • The days are getting colder and snow is spreading across the land.  In the sky there shines a bright spot that marks the coming of something special. GuildMag presents: Rudi’s Quest.       • Join CrossingTyria.com this Halloween to celebrate their triumphant return, as they party with the Highland Wolves and friends!  They have a lot of fun events planned, and this year their theme is to help the asura learn what Halloween is all about!  There will be trivia, drinks, a scavenger hunt, and of course, the Mad King’s favorite game, “Rock, Paper, Scissors,” in which the top scavenger hunt teams will get to compete for undedicated Miniatures!  The Crossing Tyria Halloween Bash begins on October 30 at 9:00 PM EDT in Rata Sum, International District 1!       • Lore of Mythos has been updated with new changes and additions to the site. In addition to major updates to the Maps, Missions, and Heroes sections of the site, they launched new sections devoted to books and a profile section in which you can show off your characters and achievements.       • Ghostfest 2010 is coming!  [XXX] and the [SMF] Alliance cordially invites all Guild Wars players to celebrate Halloween this year at Ghostfest!  This in-game event includes the traditional prizes and games that players have come to expect from community events, as well as a special show with coordinated consumable item activations!  Join them on October 30 at 6:00 PM EDT in Lion’s Arch International District 1 for this event.  Be sure to check out their event page for further details on prizes and other activities!

      • Countess Reapera and the Order of the Phoenix Alliance are hosting Hallowed Eve in association with Gaming World Entertainment Network! On October 30, starting at 9:00 PM PDT, they’re counting down to the triumphant return of the Mad King in the Lion’s Arch International Districts. They’ll have creepy games and prizes sure to entertain and delight all guests!       • Join Blade Radio for the Nights of the Mini-Pets, an event that runs from 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM PDT each day from October 29 to October 31.  Blade Radio’s third annual Night of the Mini-Pets promises to be a fantastic celebration with plenty of mini-pets for all (over a thousand and still counting).  In addition, they’ll be hosting a costume contest, trivia questions, scavenger hunt, and bunch of prizes for participants!  See Blade Radio for details!

      • Mad Queen Malafide and Daniel Frozenwind are hosting another Horrorween celebration in Lion’s Arch International District 1 on October 31 starting at 7:00 PM GMT!  For nights on end, the Queen of Halloween and the King of the Snowmen have been working in secret under the cover of darkness to bring the community this awesome annual event.  Malafide’s minions have been busy every night constructing a mysterious arcane device while all of Kryta was asleep.  See their teaser video and event page for more details!

      • The latest issue of GuildMag is out!  This edition’s theme is the “Waters of Tyria,” and they’ve included coverage of the summer conventions, lore on aquatic Tyria, the Luxons, the serpentine races—all this and the return of their regular columns!  Read more at GuildMag!

      • The MARA guild would like to invite you to celebrate their fifth anniversary on November 13!  They’ll have a bunch of community games and prizes for party goers, and the DJs at the Gaming World Entertainment Network will bring some sweet tunes to the festivities.  MARA is a guild for gamers 30 and older who want to play alongside those of a similar age group and life experience.  Over the years, they’ve grown into 13 guilds, and would like to share their success with prizes mostly geared towards helping people fill their Hall of Monuments!  For more details on this event, take a look at their promo video and event page!

      • The Gaming World Entertainment Network, Malibu Barbie, and the Gamers Giving Back team are hosting Pink Day in LA to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society and breast cancer research! It will be taking place on October 16 from 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM MST (GMT -6) in the Lion’s Arch International Districts. They’ve got tons of prizes and fun activities planned.       • Countess Reapera, Konig Des Todes, and Katherine the Blood are hosting the Tyrian Ghost Walk! This event travels to locations throughout Tyria, where participants will hear Guild Wars ghost stories, written from the perspective of actual in-game encounters with these ghosts. As part of the fun, the organizers are asking for submissions from the community for short works of fiction that describe how a ghost originated and how the ghost manifests itself based on an in-game location. Entries are due by October 1st.  See the event page for more information and an example story that illustrates what they’re looking for!
      • The Next Top Runner from the Electric Celerity guild is hosting a series of races for runners that will test not only speed, but also knowledge and ingenuity. Players will compete for the crown of the Electric Celerity Competition 2010 Champion. For more details, check out the EC Running home page.
      • The French Guild Wars fansite Luna Atra has a new look as well as some interesting new database tools. Check out the skins of green weapons and where to get them, take a look at the armor models, and locate the bosses directly on maps!

      • The Gaming World Entertainment Network is dedicated to providing in-game entertainment and event support for the Guild Wars player community! You may remember them from their successful Haiti earthquake relief charity fundraiser earlier this year. Help Gaming World Entertainment Network celebrate the launch of their brand new website on July 3rd in Shing Jea Monastery, Traditional Chinese Districts. They’ll be partying all day long, with music, prizes, and fun! It all starts at 10:00 AM PST and runs until 10:00 PM PST. Head over to their website for more information about the launch event.
